Erin and Marc in NH

Hi All!

Hope all is well with you! Marc and I have enjoyed our first year of being homeowners, and no longer find ourselves visiting Lowe's every weekend!

We just got back from a trip to the Bahamas - celebrating the fact that I survived my first year as a first-grade teacher! Marc continues to do well as a sports reporter at New Hampshire's Union Leader. In his first year there, he's covered high school football, wrestling and lacrosse, and is hoping to get down to the Little League World Series again. Of course he's really waiting for his chance to cover the Red Sox - but we're being patient.

This summer, we're hanging out poolside and enjoying a little downtime. If anyone is in New England, we'd love to hear from you! Love to everyone - Erin

Stevie, Kim, Zach & Augie Sneed

Hey everyone! Sneed family "update"- We live in Moseley Va. about 25 miles west of Bon Air (where Kim and I both grew up). Zach, our oldest, is now 16 and stands about 6' 1", going into the 11th grade and will be SCA President, he is a member of FCCLA, runs cross country and track for Powhatan High School and is involved in alot of church activities and can drive now yea!!!. Spare time is spent reading, playing soccer, mountain biking, swimming, snow skiing, chasing a girl or two.... Augie is now 13 and looking eye level with me, going into 9th grade. Plays soccer all the time, has a girl friend (going on two years now!), did I mention he plays soccer all the time- wake boarding, snow skiing, swimming and hanging out with his many friends. Kimberly enjoys reading in every spare moment, still a faithful partimer for the Post Office - spends the majority of her time driving kids to and fro and I recently talked her into playing soccer with me on a coed team - she also loves snow skiing with the kids! I'm still with Crenshaw-Singleton Properties, managing commercial real estate, spare time is spent on the soccer field (playing and coaching), pre 1840 reenacting (mountainy man stuff), bow hunting, black powder hunting and doing stuff either around our house or on our property in Buckingham County. If any of you are ever down our way please know your welcome anytime!! Stevie.

I briefly spoke with Martha on Monday, to make sure Jenna (currently enrolled at Virginia Tech) was safe. I hope this posts, but the main idea is to wear maroon & orange on Friday to show support for students, families and everyone touched by this tragedy.

Mary Lee's Update

Mary Lee
Yeah!!!!! Got help, so here I am! Rebecca's here. We are having fun. We are getting together with several family members, Jeanne came, spent night, laughed alot, went to Surry and had lunch at the Surry House, then on to Stevie's rendevous, where he is a mountain man for a weekend. His T-Pee is wonderfully set up, with all of the luxuries of home, including his own personal moonshine! Made a pie this morning to take to Bobby and Diane's for dinner tonight, and other fun things to do until Sunday morning when she goes home.I am Mary Lee Trombold Sneed. I was born in Iola, Kansas. I am daughter of Robert and Jean Trombold, sister to Robert Trombold, Jeannie Hoey, and Tom Trombold. I was married to Sonny Sneed for 33 years, now divorced, living in Richmond, Virginia. Mother of six children, Bobby, Rebecca, Tommy, Jeanne, Sandra and Stevie! Grandmother of seven grandchildren, Heather, Vanessa, Stephen, Matthew, Evan, Zach and Augie. Greatgrandmother of two greatgrandchildren, Emma Lee and Jacob Benjamin. It is wonderful that Stacey came up with this idea, and I am thrilled to finally be a part of it. Going back to Christmas time, Rebecca made it possible for me to see Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Bill, which was long overdue, and it was so nice to see them again, just too short! Speaking of seeing people, it would be nice to see the family at a reunion if we can pick a central location! It will be fun to read everyone's notes! I look forward to keeping up with everyone!! So keep the good news coming! Talk to you later,Love, Mary Lee

Proofreader's Adjustment

Sorry folks . . . .it would have helped to have "WHO" included in the following first-paragraph of my 3/15 Blogging. Like here . . . .

"Since I'm not sure who has already been forced to endure my boast about having the second (Hoey side) cousin who is becoming QUITE the Jazz Man, here goes on a time-sensitive boast and headzup."

My apology,
Bill

URGENT BILLITIN !!! ; )

Since I'm not sure has already been forced to endure my boast about having the second (Hoey side) cousin who is becoming QUITE the Jazz Man, here goes on a time-sensitive boast and headzup.

Kurt Bacher, 25, blond, Caucasian (often appearing to be the "token" when subbing with Wynton's Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra . . LOL), son of Nancy HOEY Bacher and John Bacher of Foxboro, MA.

Kurt is a serious composer, arranger, woodwind performer since early school days, with masters in composition and performance from Manhattan School of Music, having caught a lot of attention from Wynton hisself. Awwwwwww c'MON! Be impressed!

Currently he has a nice long gig, playing in the pit and on-stage a bit with the Road Company of "Jersey Boys", the '06 "Best New Musical" on Broadway; recently concluding a 3-plus month run in San Francisc; upcoming in L.A., etc. www.jerseyboysbroadway.com with speakers on.

SO, what's the big urgent deal?? The "Jersey Boys" cast and (maybe) some musicians are scheduled to be on Jay Leno this MONDAY, 3/19. So, on the CHANCE that you spot a HoeyHandsome, blond, skinny (probably) alto sax man, it's Kurt! At least listen for a WOW-of-a-sax-sound. Please . . . .

Stacey, I don't know why the email is bucking your efforts . . I'm sorry. How about trying ajazzymind@gmail.com ? I need to investigate the prob . . .thanks for mentioning it.

Blessings all 'round,

BillMe in non-shaking, non-sliding, non-hurricaning, hardly-ever-swirling, non-raining-enough ARIZONA.

March Madness Yahoo!

Hey everyone, great job so far on the blogging!! I'm so impressed at everyone who has given it a try! Let's keep encouraging everyone else to join in. It'll be great to have lots of family aboard so we can talk about reunion stuff. But I guess if they don't join in....we don't have to consider their input...ha-ha!

I hope nobody is getting tired of hearing about Ohio State's premier athletic teams ;) Go Bucks! Well, back to work and to quickly fill out my hoops bracket!

*Uncle Bill, I've been trying to e-mail you off-blog to help with your Hoey stuff, but it says your e-mail is full, so it keeps bouncing back.

The bold

Ahoy from the Bahamas!

Hi Everybody,

Im trying to figure out just how this thing works as this is my first "blog" experience too! If you read the comment I posted than disregard this because Im repeating myself. Norwood (my husband) and I are enjoying some R&R in the sunny, warm and tropical islands of the Bahamas. More specifically, the Abacos which are the "out islands". We decided that somebody from the family should be represented down here so we came in January for our 3rd winter! It is quite addicting. Plans are to return to Raleigh, NC in April and at that time we will be meeting a distant cousin, namely Nick Trombold who is studying at Duke University. he emailed this am and we planned to get together on our return home. It was exciting to hear we have such a smart and talented relative at Duke University! there aren't too many Trombolds in NC!
Hope we can start "chatting" about a family reunion????? Im willing to help plan........

Another Tidbit From The Hoey Polloi

Since I'm watching longingly for more of the messages from "the young and hip", I've decided "the ageless and corny" had best get to posting. Mainly, I'm taking a poll. Did you receive my years-late "Holiday (email) Letter" that made a way-wordy attempt to update family and friends on the State Of PlanetHoey??? If you don't recall getting it, please drop an email to me at: ajazzymind@gmail.com and I'll forward a copy, LIKE IT OR NOT! I'm too lazy to try to replicate it here . . . any you're LUCKY! ;)
I, too, want to applaud Robbin for mastering the pic-post so fast! Now if she'll just coach Dad.
Let's March on . . . blessings to each and all,
Bill Hoey

Pgh Trombold's Have News!!!

First off--Kudo's to Stacey for getting this technology thing up and running. Rob and I have BIG news--FIRST- we've finally gotten one through college, graduated and gainfully employed as a Management Trainee with CINTAS ie. Meghan. Second-Meghan got ENGAGED on Dec 21st. A sweet Southern boy, of course I mean have you noticed how we've got this Southern thing going on, named Jonathan Blake Webster or Blake proposed down on one knee and on Mt. Washington overlooking the Point. This was done after he first cleared his plans with Rob and then we me--he does know how to do things right and I think we'll keep him. No wedding date as yet but will keep ya'll posted. Looks like we may be going to Tennessee as of now but who knows where we'll end up--hopefully just together.
Casey turns 20 on 2-11-07, amazing!!! how did that happen? She is loving Auburn this year and continues to kick butt. Seems like she's going to do the Logistics thing too, no surprise cuz these girls have business in their blood.

Aha! Figured out the photo thing.

At left is Mom, Dad and me last November when we gathered for our family holiday celebration. Was it Thanks-mas, or Christ-giving? Both! Peter and I went out for a visit celebrating gratititude and giving, feasting and family.

Always wonderful to be in the company of those we love and who love us.

Hey Family!

Robbin (Hoey) (Plesh) now Comiski checking in. This should be interesting - my 1st BLOG! For starters the Trombold connection is: I'm daughter of Jeanette Trombold Hoey, and William B. Hoey, Jr. I'm mother to daughter Erin Lee (Plesh) Thaler, married to Marc A. Thaler, and son Taylor A. Plesh. I'm married to Peter J. Comiski. When I can figure out how to attach photos I'd love to share a couple from our visit with Mom & Dad last November. Until then, I'll stay tuned and try to keep up in this way. Thanks to Stacey and all in this initiative. Please note my new email address: rlcomiski@yahoo.com
